Buttons & Bows Children's Boutique, in St. James, is back in the spotlight. Deanna Chassen, of St. James, founded Buttons and Bows Boutique five years ago to offer children a unique shopping experience where memories are made with special occasion dresses for girls and suits for boys at affordable prices. From the place of its origin, Ms. Chassen moved the boutique about 200 feet down the road to 425 North Country Road (Route 25A), where Buttons & Bows is currently located. About three years ago, Ms. Chassen started a "Say Yes to the Dress Mini" program at the boutique, a twist on the popular television show "Say Yes to the Dress." But instead of wedding gowns, she features communion and flower girl dresses. It was a marketing promotion that paid off, earning Ms. Chassen and Buttons & Bows acclaim on such popular television programs as the Today Show, New York Live, and DailyMailTV.
